The industry of bamboo scaffolding is dying; there is not only a diminishing supply of raw material, but also a lack of new blood that are willing to work for the industry. If we do not learn to appreciate the skill and knowledge, this craft may one day disappear.
But there is no other place that does scaffolding like Hong Kong, and through engaging bamboo masters to collaborate and create a contemporary artpiece, we hope to explore future possibilities for this craft.

竹棚是香港的建築特色，也是一種快將失傳的手藝，簡單的竹子和竹搣在師傅的巧手下即成為一個牢固的竹棚，與香港的現代化高樓相映成趣。Morphway就是以竹棚為概念，融入現代建築的原素，並利用天橋底下的空間，將竹棚演變為一個藝術裝置，以全新的手法呈現傳統手藝，並重新定義橋底下的世界。
