Making use of Grand Ocean’s existing castle-like impression, a prominent façade design with sustainable green wall and a glass, multi-functional rooftop space, was suggested to make Grand Ocean Department Store stand out from its neighbours. Sets of cubic sculptures with transparent-green acrylic art are hung above main entrance points to echo with the green wall exterior. Inside the mall, more geometric ceiling patterns and skylight structures are designed to introduce luminosity and a contemporary shopping experience.
