Shenzhen K11 ATELIER’s drop-off is a generous, covered urban living room blurring the boundaries between office, retail, and landscape. An expansive canopy gathers vehicles and pedestrians into a weather-protected forecourt, while broad pavements, seating, and planted terraces provide a comfortable breakout space.

Translating the relaxed ambiance of a seaside resort into a refined urban language, the design uses softly curving soffits, creamy stone, and lush planting to create coastal ease. Turning a transient threshold into a destination, its meandering planters and sculpted benches invite people to linger, making daily arrivals a brief escape.

Set within OMA’s K11 development and connected to David Chipperfield Architects’ HACC footbridge, the project acts as a “small space among giants.” Its human-scaled details, warm materials, and layered greenery offer a counterpoint to the surrounding towers, providing a moment of calm in a dense urban ensemble.
