Do theatres always have to be a formal occasion?

At Pop-up Theatre, we strive to transform the local, everyday experience: using local material and design, creating informal performances that pedestrians can interact with.

Much like the bamboo stages for chinese opera back in the days, the idea is to create a contemporary prototype, so that pop-up theatres can make a return.
